The protective bubble and vortex looked suitably impressive/grand. Regarding spells, I'm quite pleased with the look of high magic so far. I hope the lizardmen fans will be satisfied. It being completely predictable would perhaps be too powerful though. Ruination of Cities looked powerful, but perhaps a bit uncontrollable, and that's the only thing that keeps Purple Sun from being better than Wind of Death for example. (Hint, glade guards, hint.) Might be too powerful, but perhaps as a pre-battle option at least? Just a suggestion. If only we could get the same option for certain other missile units. I really like that you can swap ammo types on the bolt thrower on the fly and the detailed info you get from hovering over the icons. (Same goes for stuff like the glowing eyes of skeletons.) Much like projectile trails, I don't see how this could be difficult to implement as an option. I kinda hope we have get an option at some point to disable weird effects like the phoenix guard's aura. The colors just look kind of flat, 'as if they were made of plastic.' (I suspect the Dragon Princes' armor might get similar comments.) I dunno though, I thought they looked fine honestly. Regarding the shields, I'm pretty sure the elf fans are complaining about the relative lack of texture on the shields, not the color scheme itself. Think we missed one?
